I hired Audrey Krebs of Aging Services Consultants to help find my parents an assisted living home for them to move into. She presented several options of places for us to go visit. Each place was different in small aspects so we could see the pros and cons of contrasting places. Audrey definitely knows the ins and outs of navigating this process. The home that we ended up going with, was one that had an immediate apartment open with two rooms and a kitchen. When my parents and I saw this place, we fell in love. Our mother had landed in the hospital twice within 5 days and my brother and I were committed to try to not have her return to the facility where she was currently living (a “corporately owned” memory care assisted living facility).

I contacted Audrey on a referral on Wednesday. The next day she had found several smaller places with a much greater caregiver to resident ratio, and that she knew from experience that were better equipped to take care of our mom.
